My take on the floods

My take on the recent floods in Looe.

With special thanks to the late and great Pete Seeger.

Where have all the media gone, long time passing?
Where have all the media gone, long time ago?
Where have all the media gone?
The Somerset Levels have wooed them every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the photographers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the photographers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the photographers gone?
Gone for scoops every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all their pictures gone, long time passing?
Where have all their pictures gone, long time ago?
Where have all their pictures gone?
Gone for the archives every one
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the interviewers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the interviewers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the interviewers gone?
Gone to Somerset, everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the floods gone, long time passing?
Where have all the floods gone, long time ago?
Where have all the floods gone?
Gone to Somerset, everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the media, long time passing?
Where have all the media, long time ago?
Where have all the media gone?
Thankfully far from Looe
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, why don't they just leave us alone?

Photographer with camera in hand concocting a terrible lie!

It is noticable that on a day when more floods are forecast and the tide is yet again high the media are nowhere to be seen in Looe. The situation is far worse in the Somerset levels and the poor people deserve help. I am not sure that the invasion of the media is of any help at all!

Anyway why not listen to the real thing?
